Welcome to Wellington

 Primary School and

 Nursery

"Working together to succeed."

On behalf of all the children, staff and governors, we welcome you to Wellington Primary School and Nursery. We are a vibrant and inclusive school, rooted in our local community which celebrates all our pupils’ diverse backgrounds and talents.

We are a rural small school and have a strong and caring whole school community ethos. Our thoughtful and supportive staff and governors ensure our children are at the centre of everything we do. We firmly believe a happy child is a successful one, and intend that all children should enjoy their learning, achieve their potential and become independent life-long learners.

Coronation Tea Party

WOW what a wonderful party we had to celebrate the new King. Firstly, a huge thank you to parents and carers for all the party food. We most definitely enjoyed a feast! Secondly, a huge thank you to the PTFA for the bookmarks. Hopefully the children will remember this memroable occasion when reading their favourite books. Also well done to the children in Year 1 and 2 for creating a wonderul King Charles, who sat proudly on his throne at the front of school.

World Book Day 2023

This year we asked the children to draw the story  of their favourite book on a t-shirt and they all looked wonderful. The designs were fantastic! The children enjoyed parading them to the whole school, showing off their creative drawings and favourite books.

Young Voices

The choir enjoyed a fun-filled day out at Birmingham arena. The Young Voices experience is not simply a children’s choir concert, these are the largest children’s choir concert's in the world. The choir performed alongside 5,000-8,000 other children as a single choir to capacity audiences of family and friends.
Well done Wellington Choir, you are superstars!

Anti-bullying week 14th - 18th November

The week kicked off with odd socks day, where adults and children wore odd socks to celebrate what makes us unique.

Owls class decorated their own socks and talked about ways we can reach out for help. Some examples being asking an adult for help, teamwork and being kind to our friends.

St Michael's Hospice Reindeer Run

Children and teachers across the school took part in a reindeer run to raise money for St Michael's Hospice. The children ran laps around the hall, totalling 3 miles!

We raised £130.00! Thank you to everyone who donated!
